You are a complete GENIUS!!!
For anyone breaking out into a sweat over the thought of doing this, just upload the .ics file that’s causing a problem to your AI, then copy and paste this thread. In a few seconds, it will make the necessary changes to the files, to allow you to delete all of the associated events.
I’ve been scratching my head over this for a while and neither wanted to delete my entire main calendar, nor manually delete each event one by one.

Note to anyone and my future self: Always ‘add to calendar’ NOT IMPORT (although you still have to select import/ export to get there) and create a new calendar for each .ics file you have. That way, you can delete the buggy appointments or duplicates quickly and easily.

And if this is future me – you are a loveable plonker. Just ask ChatGPT to make the changes!!!

HOORAY!!! I also used the steverand modification above for a line break, installed Notepad2 (after trying Notepad and Notepad++), also check the “Translate backslashes” option in Notepad2 Replace, and Save as a new file (choose “All Files” not “txt” and append “.ics” after the file name)

Thank you so much! This was the first article I could find that had an alternative to replacing STATUS:CONFIRMED with STATUS:CANCELLED, which didn’t work for me, even though the original import had UIDs.
