I changed the NS record in the hosted zone, and thought I was done. Like you I wanted and waited, the Google’d “how long does it take” and found your page. Bless you for posting this!! The reason I changed my DNS record is that I’m abandoning AWS. I tried for a week to send email from my EC2 instance, and failed. I even paid for tech support, and they were hopeless. AWS is a good idea, but not for an app that need to send email. – Jim
