I tried a couple rss readers after Reader’s demise, but haven’t checked anything for a long time. I will try feedly. I hope somebody makes something as great as Reader one day!

Not really. @feedly is pretty good. I paid for it for years, but nothing was ever the same as Reader.

I was and am a paid user of google as well. I agree with your sentiments on your blog post. Have you ever found a replacement?
