I now only go to Starbucks during Christmas for the Eggnog Lattes…I had been a fan of the Almond lattes for many years and was dismayed when they dropped the syrup.

I realize that I’m coming to this party way late, but the almond lattes were the ONLY reason I went to Starbucks. Through the years, I’ve tried other flavors & brews, but I always end up disappointed.

I think I may have found it!!!! I’ve tried those other brands too and they are NOT the same at all.
But they have it at the Starbuck’s Foodservice website for the franchises to purchase products. Unfortunately, I think it’s not for customers. But the brand is called Fontana. The bottle looks the same… different label since Starbuck’s makes their own labels.

Oh my! I’m not alone! I loved my Starbuck’s almond latte’s and snapped up several bottles at 3 stores when I heard they were discontinuing, expensive, but worth it. Tried Monin, Torani and Davinci, didn’t like as well. A friend found, at a small, local coffee shop in Denver area, a syrup bottled under ‘Stirling’ label. The closest I’ve found. Also found a simple syrup recipe and will try, but have had to resort to vanilla for my daily latte’s and save almond for my weekends. I will join you David in campaigning for the return. Does anyone know why Starbuck’s stopped? Several barista’s were confused too since they said it was there most popular flavor!

What a relief to find I am not the only one. The almond syrup made my Starbucks coffee exceptional. Alas, I have considered taking my own bottle of almond syrup with me in the car but upon reflection I usually go through the drive-thru. I could see myself getting my coffeee, extracting the syrup from the glove box (hoping it didnt’ leak into my precious maps) and then while balancing the cup and listening to the horns honking behind me, patiently attempting to pour the allotted amount into my cup, put the lid back on so it wouldn’t spill, put the syrup back in the glove box and drive away. Do you think that holding the line up would entice them to bring it back. Oh well, it seems that almond syrup is for home use.
